Hey everyone,
I've been gaming since the 80s, first console was the C64, and so many others since, gaming has been a huge part of my life. Slowed down slightly since starting a family as I'm sure many of us are in similar situations.
I've also loved handhelds for quite a while but enjoyed arcades back in the day thoroughly. Only recently decided to really start collecting consoles I feel are core to my childhood and also some I missed out on.
I also stumbled upon Neogeo, having loved the arcades in the past and recently the Neogeo Pocket Color handhelds, I took the plunge and scored an NG AES console.
I'm slowly planning out all the modifications for all the consoles I've purchased (mostly from Japan), I'm going to do the Unibios 4.0 Modchip swap on my AES and most likely recap and RGB fix (tracer cut on the 3-6 board revision).
Plan is to run everything off RGB SCART through a switch to a Retrotink x5..
I've only recently gotten into hot-air stations and soldering. My skills improving each time I tackle a fix or mod. I'm generally pretty confident with opening up any electronics.
I of course would LOVE Full-size neogeo slot one day.. and various other cabs. Who knows this forum community may lead me there! If budget and space permits!
