Hello! I'm looking to replace the 400-5198-01 power supply in my NAC with the 400-5261 power supply as it has +5V 12A as opposed to 7A. From comparing the two pinouts it seems that the two are identical except for the bottom right on CN1, on the 400-5198-01 the last 3 pins are listed as DMG NC DMG" while on the 400-5261 they are all NC. What is DMG and is it safe to use this power supply with this existing harness? Thanks!

I just did this swap of the 400-5198-01Y to a 400-5261Z and the pinouts were identical. However, on this swap that entire 5x3 pin molex, the pinouts are completely different. It looks like you would need to crimp a new one.

According to the stock Astro (I don't think the 400-5198-01 model was rolled out with NACs) wiring, DMG is the demag/deguassing coil.

However looking at that specific model of 400-5261, it's missing the demag button/feature so you would lose that or have to find an external solution.

I think it only looks this way because the writing is sideways, if you compare the two on the supplies I'm swapping the only difference seems to be the DMG pins at the last 3.

Oh that's right. Looks like you'd just be missing the demag feature and since those pins are NC it should be safe to leave as is.
