I haven't seen this B board config before - what are the contacts for?

I have never seen a B board with a fingerboard before.

It's part of the B-board designed by Mitchell for cps1 hardware. I could be wrong, but seems like would be a dedicated sound section (here unpopulated) for those boards to be connected via a filterboard similar to cps1.5 ?

I don't see what's special about the C-Board.
