So my Raiden II was going nuts on the audio, so I ordered some replacement caps and an LA4460; Replaced the caps, but the LA4460 I couldn't get to desolder well. I'll be honest, it was 2am and I should've just stopped and continued the next day; I ended up lifting a few pads. The pads weren't connected to any traces on the back side. I finished up soldering it, checked the continuity and everything checked out.

Tried the game today, volume at max only makes about 10% of the volume coming from the speakers. Truth be told I needed smaller tips and goodnight's rest, but mistakes were made. Any advice on going about testing this and fixing it? Also, can anyone recommend a test bench setup that would work on a Computer monitor? I don't exactly have a spare arcade monitor or a Sony PVM etc.

Been there done that before:) I'm no expert but it could be the potentiometer at fault. If you need any readings let me know I have a Raiden 2 board. Do you happen to have an upscaler like a retrotink? A GBS control could also work.

Sweet, I'll take you up on that, I do not have a retrotink or a GBS; more than willing to buy something though. My workbench is setup pretty well, but after my repairs I've just been putting them back in the cabs to test. But, now my cabs are no longer at my place but in another location. So it really sucks testing them now lol

Yeah that would be super annoying. I use a minigun on my test bench to a 13in crt. Gbs control is probably your cheapest option unless someone has another suggestion but you'll probably still need a supergun of some sort.

If you have a recommended setup that would work for me lmk, I have some computer monitors, but I understand if I gotta go CRT.

I'm assuming something like this and a jamma harness? Lol I'm getting a bit off track, my bad.

Something similar to that will get you a good video signal from the supergun to the monitor. You can probably get a cheap hdmi converter but idk how it would look.

Its going to depend on what your supergun is outputting. Could be vga, scart, component etc.

Ordered some stuff. I’ll probably take some readings on this board once it’s hooked up and see what needs fixing. Are all LA4460 the same ? It has different numbers on the bottom
