If it’s the Gundam that requires a HDD, just make a new HDD, they have no copy protection. Currently the IDE sim doesn’t do HDD stuff yet, at least I haven’t heard anything about it.Yeah, I know. Sigh. Have the 256, have the dongle, need the IDE sim. I got no interest in playing 1p gundam, lol.

not quite, Sengoku Basara X is a DVD game. You’ll still need a DVD and burn the ISO to a blank disc. You’ll also need a dvd drive.So if I wanted to do like sengoku basara x or any of the others, I’d just load up a new HDD image and change the dongle?
In my experience, a lot of games were DVD drive picky, there’s a thread talking about DVD drive compatibility and stuff but the one I highly recommend is the LG GSA-H55N or the H42N version as they have always given me great compatibility. They are standard PC IDE DVD drives.Any DVD Drive work?
