Hey all, anyone know where I can source an IDE sim to build the multi?

Yeah, I know. Sigh. Have the 256, have the dongle, need the IDE sim. I got no interest in playing 1p gundam, lol.

If it’s the Gundam that requires a HDD, just make a new HDD, they have no copy protection. Currently the IDE sim doesn’t do HDD stuff yet, at least I haven’t heard anything about it.

So if I wanted to do like sengoku basara x or any of the others, I’d just load up a new HDD image and change the dongle?

not quite, Sengoku Basara X is a DVD game. You’ll still need a DVD and burn the ISO to a blank disc. You’ll also need a dvd drive.

Most games used a DVD,CD, or HDD. You still need to use the appropriate media to play the games.

The ODE plays DVD and CD games using a SD card or USB flash drive. It doesn’t play HDD based games yet.

None of the 2X6 media has copy protection as the dongle serves as the protection source. Hope this helps. :D

Any DVD Drive work?
In my experience, a lot of games were DVD drive picky, there’s a thread talking about DVD drive compatibility and stuff but the one I highly recommend is the LG GSA-H55N or the H42N version as they have always given me great compatibility. They are standard PC IDE DVD drives.
