I have been wondering if this idea is possible.. while streaming on twitch, especially with jamma board, would be awesome if there is a way to capture on the input in real time and then display those input on screen while streaming. This way the viewers can streamer's inputs which make it more interesting.

that thread is dead AF.
it would be cool to have inputs for streaming, but most streamers i know of do that with a camera pointing at the control panel.
this is how i do my setup when i run my e2. if you do ever find anything that captures actual control inputs like they do on speedruns and stuff, i would be interested in buying one.

I've done this already using a Daemonbite USB encoder for the PC side and 74LS245s on the JAMMA side so that the PCB doesn't cause issues with reading inputs on the USB side.
I attached a picture showing my setup. Top is the DB15 (Neo geo) splitter (with LED for lag testing), middle is the 74LS245x2 board for the JAMMA side, and bottom is the Daemonbite USB encoder.

Then you can use something like https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/display-fightstick-motions.344/
to generate the joystick overlay. You can check some of my recent Gradius IV streams to see how it looks:

You could also do something similar with a RasPi, as this guy's project:

This would probably be more suitable for a cabinet since you could transmit the buttons wirelessly using Wi-Fi.
