Yes, a Major Title 2 donor should work fine.

I saw a note in another thread that GunForce can't be converted to other M92 games. Is it confirmed that it's unsuitable for use with a multi?
I believe the developers stated GunForce would be supported in this thread. But the project isn't complete. So that could change.

First I’ve heard of this though. This thread seems fairly explicit that all M92 boards are suitable donors…
From what I remember there was a lot of desire to make it so all boards would work, which set back the release of the multi a good but. Enough to bring us to the pandemic and the great everything shortage that we are in today. Ppl were deadset on having gunforce as a donor. Idk what makes it natively incompatible, but it most assuredly is in this thread somewhere. Most questions here can be answered by taking a half hour to skim thru all the posts.
The Gunforce ROM daughter board simply has fewer spots for ROM chips. That limits the address range the it can support making it incompatible other games.

I believe its currently stalled, with work set to resume AFTER the System18 multi is completed (but talks of renewed interest in a System32 multi could delay it further).
It's not active right now. S18 and s32 are both finished with single issues to fix. We are currently stumped on both and seeking outside help.

I am not sure that GunForce will be compatible with this multiM92. Its mobo M92 is different as the other M92
