Hi, I've used the search engine if this problem was mentioned here before and apparently it wasn't. So I wanna share my "repair" on my Gun Force.

For some reason suddenly sprites were missing but everything else still worked as it should. I found out that if the thingie that shortens the jumper is missing, no sprites. That thingie just fell of without my knowledge. After connecting the middle pin with "B" with my scredriver (befor booting up of course) sprites appeared again!

Nice. This happened on my R-Type Leo so I jammed some tape on top of the pins so it doesn't want to slip off again in the future and get lost.

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure if the pins or the thingie is the actual jumper because on the PCB J is printed next to the pins and if the pins are the actual jumper then what is the thingie then? Kinda confusing to me. I'll go with shunt. Sounds more professional I guess.

the pins sticking up on the PCB is a "header" can be called a "jumper header" or "connector header" depending on it's use. the jumper is the small piece that fits over and connects the header pins.

Yeah most people just call it a jumper though if you need to buy spares just search "Shunt" in ebay to get directly to what you need. Jumper is a broader term. A jumper could be just a piece of wire, or two solder pads close enough to be soldered together, or a zero ohm resistor.

Many thanks to all of you guys on the forums. I just recently got into AC PCB stuff again after many many years and the help I got already over here is great.

The market prices are very fair too. Again, great forum:)
