Jasen's new case - CPS2 - digital AV board - menu buttons

Hi Folks - for those that have the CPS2 Digital AV solution installed and Jasen's new CPS2 case - can you tell me how you are hooking up the two menu buttons for it?

When I have the two wires connected to the VOL + and VOL -, everything works as it used to (old method).

When I hook those two wires up to the new switches, and using ground (on the CPS2 AV board) as the other post - it doesn't work.

I am sure its something simple - but I have kind of been beating my head over this.

As I am wracking my brain and looking through marq's github - I just realized there is a difference between the CPS2 setup and the CPS3 setup (which works with GND and the two pads).

on the CPS3 digitalAV board - you solder two small SMD resistors on the back.

The CPS2 setup, you don't - I bet that is the difference.

I am going to solder those two resistors and see if it works - I bet it does!

Ok - yes, that was it.

TLDR; if you have a stock CPS2 DigitalAV unit that was wired up to the volume buttons - you need to solder two 0603 10k SMD resistors onto the back - upper right. Then you can wire them up to the buttons with one of the GND pads.

PHEW - I was going a bit crazy on this one...
