Karate Champ Stick

Made this because this game needs a dedicated joystick. Print the custom graphic borderless on 8x11 photo paper. I included a template for drilling the holes printed on 8.5x11 paper. I'd upload the fusion file for the base but it is too large.

8.5x11 1/8" 3mm acrylic sheet - No need to cut.
I used 10mm M3 heat inserts
Short IL/hap buttons for start and coin.

That's a nice little box you've made. Wouldn't take much extra effort for this to be a great Robotron stick too.

Yeah. I have different bottom halves designed for IL/HAPP parts and Sanwa. My goal was to make it so I just need to swap out the top for different games and use precut pieces of acrylic. The hardest part is drilling the holes in the acrylic and cutting the holes in the art for the buttons. I use the below item from amazon for cutting any holes that are larger than a 1/4" drill bit. For cutting the holes in the acrylic I tape the stencil to the acrylic sheet centered and drill pilot holes through the dark center dots. I don't peal off the paper or plastic which helps stop splintering and drill the holes over a piece of wood with a hole saw.

the hardest part for this build was finding a good replacement arcade stick. I wasn't about to try to find old Data East parts if it's not going into a real cabinet.
