Hi :

Anyone have a current price for a clean working knucklebash pcb by toaplan?
Also the current price for a battletoads pcb.

Oh and i just wanted to state i am here to buy mainly. When i get some free time i will be actively assisting with being a contributing member if this site.

Well, some people don't like when I quote prices, but I don't care. I post what I think, and you can judge how you want.

I recently bought two Battletoads. One for me and one for a friend. $500 and $550 shipped. I also bid on two on eBay, won neither, I believe the last one sold for $650 plus shipping.

Some on here will tell you it's a $400 game, if so, I guess I have over paid twice.

I just bought a Knuckle Bash from YAJ, and I was bidding on two of them, however, I wasn't paying attention and purchased a "Korean" version. It says Toaplan on the PCB, however many consider these bootlegs. That's not the discussion for this post, however, with shipping from Japan to USA and all fees, I have a working Korean one for $200, however I believe the other one, which was fully Japanese also sold in that range.

Also, a rather dirty looking one (but seems functional without much repair, recently sold for $190 shipped on eBay.

All KB boards are identical (TP-027), even ROMs are identical. Region is set with 4 jumpers on the board (which are resistors, present or not).

Thanks, but mine must be a bootleg, it says made in Korea on the board and it doesn’t have a JAMMA notch. I should have paid more attention when I bid!

Yeah I got that. But you said you were after a Japanese board, my advice was to get whatever version you can find and change the jumpers for instant Japanese version. :)
 
Oh, I get it! Sorry, I guess I should have more accurately said I’m looking for an original board then!

Yes i was just asking for a value $150 us dollars seemed a little low. Considering you can use it for other games.
