Konami Windy Speakers.

Anyone ever swapped out the speakers in a Windy? Mine sound particularly weak and a bit thin - they are open backed and have no enclosure unlike a Capcom Impress and Sega Astro speaker. The Capcom ones sound excellent by the way.

Any ideas for a nice replacement, mine seem to be in good condition so think they probably do not sound good even when new.

I think they sound pretty good. Maybe yours are not original or the speakers blown out? Mine were changed to some cheap units and I didn't realize it at first. Found a pair of originals to swap back on and they are fine

Mine are original and look in great condition, just not the full range sound you get from a Capcom cab. I have a small sub I may add to the cab to get a fuller sound.

Pleased yours sounds good, where did you get your replacements from?

Small update, after checking the Windy diagram I can see I had the speakers connected out of phase… Now corrected and sounding great.
