found a nice Blast City for 250$ :) ... missing a few parts which I have all located except a power supply ...


anyone ... Bueller? ..Bueller? ...

I got mine from yaton6262 on ebay, 40 plus ship (best offer)

Nice find, would love to see pix and hear details! I recently got mine for 300... It's a sega bass fishing. No loom, no cp wiring, no lock on the cp, missing the bill acceptor, had a necked tube and a 2931 chassis that needed repair, was missing the instruction glass cover and clips as well as the coin chute that carries the coins from the cp and deposits them into the coin chassis.

It's definitely a project.... I've got the PS situated though! Working on the rest...

got the i/o board from the same guy ... I must have missed the power supply ... I'll wait for the next one.

Wow - looks nice! Mine was missing the bezel clips, which I got from giz10p (thanks to twistedsymphony for pointing them out to me!). I've still got to get the tempered glass cut for the instructions on the CP, but the most annoying thing I'm trying to track down... the Naomi coin chute that carries the coin from the CP to the coin mechs.

I suspect I'm going to need to try and have one 3d printed, but haven't yet managed to find a model anywhere. Ah, such fun ;)

Yours is coming along nicely - looking forward to seeing the finished unit!

I have a few extra. I'll test it this Wednesday and let you know if they still work. If they do they most likely need a cap kit as its quite old
 
I have two new Blast City PSUs... never used, never tested (LOL) they are slightly diferent than pictured (I have the Lindbergh version with extra ATX output ports)

But they weight a ton, I guess would be a fortune to ship them to Canada.

Ah, and they are 230V....
 
XeD is now my first choice since he is in Canada!

I am also watching an auction on yahoo japan ... and yeah, shipping would probably hurt from there and Germany ! ...still, the japan one has the i/o board (which I already have) and all wiring!

I also need a jamma loom ! so, anyone?! :) Bueller? Bueller?! :rolleyes:
 
If you're looking for jamma-only, there's a Jamma loom on ebay right now. If you're after the -001 jvs/jamma loom like I am, they seem to be relatively difficult to find. At least for a < 150 price.

I have had bad experience with him ... what you see is not always what you get ... so I prefer other options.

if you look at http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Sega_Blast_City_Wiring_Guide, you'll see that the #600-6738-21 he is advertising does NOT have the RCA plugs ... cause it's actually the jamma/jvs #600-7143-001 ... or the "jamma lindberg" as he calls it.


either way, he's not getting my money ! :thumbdown:

oh .. and he says he's from ontario Canada but stuff comes from China ... so another notch on the bed post.

Some of it does come from Canada, I've had a few items that did. But most of it comes from China. That's strange that you have gotten something that it wasn't, everything I've ever ordered from him was exactly what I ordered......super filthy, but the item I wanted :P

Power Supply and loom received, installed and working! big props to Xed!!



the screen, which I was told "had an issue" is actually pretty darn good and burn free but indeed has an H Position issue which It can't seem to find the horizontal edges. I'll research it but I thought I would ask the pros!
