Lingbergh (Gun OPT / I/O issue ?) looking for feedback

Hey guys,

wanted to see if i can get some insight to an issue I have with my Lingbergh that runs House of the dead 4.


Me and a friend of mine were replacing a HOD4 Sensor OPT on the 2nd player gun.

The OPT on this gun was working 100%, but the OPT was borrowed from an Arcade Operator I know so wanted to return the original hardware to him.

I got a replacement OPT from someone here and for some reason or another it didn't calibrate / work.

My friend without thinking did a "Live" Swap and tried the calibrate the working OPT and same result.


We rebooted the system,

and are at a situation to where 2nd player gun just doesn't work anymore with either OPT.

My guess is maybe the 2 player interface / port blew out on the Lingbergh or an I/O board / both OPTs ?


I am not quite 100% familiar with the Lingbergh platform ,
i want to do more troubleshooting but it got late and wanted to get a 2nd opinion from others.

Maybe test both OPTs on the player 1 side? You could also try player 1 OPT on the player 2 side.

Also, don't do live swaps.

can you compare the voltages on the 1P cable?
compare them to the 2P to see if proper voltage is running through.
