Hi all,

My name is Rob and I live in San Francisco. I have a few candy cabs and unfortunately one of them (my New Net City) is having an issues where it powers on but no picture on the screen. Tested with a few different Naomi’s and I get sound, can hear a click and hum of the monitor but nothing comes on the screen. Looking for a repair person. Anyone have any leads?

Thanks!
Rob

There's a bunch of people in the Bay that might be able to help.

Sort of outside of the direct Arcade scene, you could also try Andy King, I think he lives in SF as well. He has a bit of a waiting list for repairs tho, and you'd have to pull the tube + chassis and take it to his house:

I'm assuming you don't have anything else you can hook up to test? Anything that does VGA out (640x480) should work.

Thanks! I tried 3 diff Naomi machines and all the same thing so I’m pretty confident it’s a screen issue (I get sound and it hear the click and hum of the screen trying to power on it just won’t display anything). I’ve been hesitant to pull it apart myself as I don’t have experience working with CRTs.

Thanks!
Rob
