WTB Looking for monitor repair in Los Angeles

Want To Buy
Going to be WAY cheaper to DIY. Not difficult really, just time consuming and you're going to need a mirror.

I've done all I can with the dials on the monitor. The only way to get decent picture is to turn all the gain and bias dials all the way up and then the picture is oversaturated. Even then when doing a color test, it's impossible to get the red bar to reach all the way across.

At this point, I think there's an actual problem with the monitor itself. Not just its settings.

Your initial post just said you needed help balancing colors.

Sounds like it's time for a cap kit (at least it's a solid starting point). If you can do basic soldering it's maybe a half hour job once you've removed the chassis.

I'm a little intimidated by that. Most soldering I've ever done was installing a cps2 infinikey.

But I really want my aero table to be as stunning as it can be so I'm down to get the caps and try myself or pay someone for labor.

Is there any way to know before removing my monitor if it's a 26 SU or 26 SG?

Thanks for the advice.

I believe that the rules of Arcade Projects are that you're not allowed to post about your Aero Table without posting a photo of it. :D

If you don't want to do the caps yourself I'm sure someone would be willing, but you're probably going to want to at least discharge the chassis and pull it off the tube to be able to take it somewhere. Getting a house call much trickier than dropping something off and picking it up later with the work done.

Maybe if you have some really decent mirrors and a flashlight, ha.

But pulling the monitor is like a 5 minute job with two people (I've done it solo, but it sucks due to the way it's situated in there), easier to do that than try to eyeball it from inside the cab.

I just got it upstairs. A Capcom Impress should be joining the family next week as the last cab for this apartment (unless a mini cute pops up).

I followed the guide on the wiki last night and got the colors kind of close. I'm going to try again tonight. I think maybe some boards show differently on table. Its harness is irregular with that amp or whatever. Nekketsu Kouha Kunio Kun just shows a white screen so I assume renegade and double dragon are incompatible too.

Anyway next time I get close, I'm stopping. I wish the remote was detached or there was an "undo button". ||

edit: thanks for the advice, guys. Looks like I might not need a recapping now but maybe within a year. The screen sometimes warps a wavy effect after it's been turned on and off a few times.
