Magic Sword Palette Issue

I have a Magic Sword PCB that runs fine but has distorted graphics. Issue is isolated to B or C board and not A board custom. I reflowed the C board, and no change.
Isn't CPS1 palette ram located on the A board? Any ideas on what to check?

So, unsurprisingly, the C board was dead. I found out about the rom patch that allows any c board to run on a cps1 game. Magic Sword is now running with a spare SF2 c board.

Open question; I know the customs are not the same but, with the patch is it possible to replace the custom on the c board with a different custom (e.g. b-13 to b-21)?

If it's the @GadgetFreak hack, I believe it will accept any B chip. That being said I know the C-boards themselves have different configurations, so swapping the chip itself may not work. You can still pickup C boards from @sheep_nova I believe.
