I was just saying to @-Ace- in a PM the last Lifeforce I saw sold for 800$.
Board prices have just gone insane. :S

Gonna be really hard getting Lifeforce sub $700,
Salamander 2 should go for around $250-300 I think.

Yeah- I think I have to cross Lifeforce off the list. Back in the day I used to print out my ebay purchase listings, and in 2002 I bout a Lifeforce kit for $26, and that was a full length auction, not Buy It Now. Sorry, got my PGM and Atomiswave mixed up. Is the PCB cheaper than the motherboard/ cart(Demon Front)? I would be happy with either version. Oh Salamander 2 would be real nice, used to have that one too.

I did sell my Demon Front PCB for around €90-100 last year and bought a Demon Front cart back for a little over €100.
PGM motherboards are dirt cheap and hopefully we can enjoy a multi on them sometime...

Some bootlegs are 1:1 copies. Just saying (I don't collect or own bootlegs except for parts).
Same for R-Type (Philko bootleg for instance).

It's a great game though
See people tell me that, but when I play it all I see is a Metal Slug wana-be (I don't waste time with knock-offs/wana-be's).
We have a saying for that which goes something like "better create a good copy, than a bad idea".

For me personally it doesn't make it less enjoyable. Every game has been inspired by another game in some aspect or multiple aspects. How do you feel about In the Hunt or Dolphin Blue then?

I love demon front, it reminds me of MS which is why I enjoy it so much, and to me, I like the art in it as much as in MS.

I never played Dolphin Blue... In the Hunt is a huge fave of mine tho.
I feel the water mechanic differentiates In the Hunt from other shooters enough that it can stand on its own.

Nothing wrong with taking inspiration from other sources.
When your entire game is nothing more than a reskin of another game however, you should give up and hang your head in shame. ;)
