What's new
Okay, so I got around to testing this and turning this DIP switch on didn't help the issue.

I recorded a short video explaining and showing this issue. Hopefully there's an easy solution. Otherwise, this is going to continue to be a major frustration.

Quick note in regards to the video. SSF2T: Grand Master Challenge did work with my coin switch/credit button originally by default. But it no longer works because I went through the button remap and when I got to the "coin" mapping, it wouldn't allow me to use the coin switch.

Just wanted to follow up on this.

I was able to figure out what's going on with this. I realized that I had tied my credit button to the coin 2 switch. When I realized that, I was able to remap the P1 coin to the coin 1 switch by triggering it manually (with the coin door open.) If I use the P2 controls and do a remap, the credit button/coin2 switch works just fine to map to. It's odd to me that the Mister doesn't detect/allow the coin2 switch as a mappable button for P1 coin. I guess it lumps the coin1 switch as part of the player 1 controls and vice versa with player 2 and coin2? In any event, now that I know this, it's a non-issue. The easiest solution seems to be just remapping the P2 controls so that the coin is mapped to my credit button/coin2 switch. That way there's no need to open the coin door. Of course, this only applies to a game that gets remapped controls (i.e. someone wanting to use their own fightstick.)

One last odd thing. I figured the obvious solution would be to enable the Coin1=Coin2 dip switch, but that didn't seem to do anything. I tried rebooting as well, but still nothing. Strange. Oh well, I've got a simple solution so I'm happy.

Ah that explains it - with MiSTser you only map player 1. Player 2 gets picked up if the type of controller is the same (which is the case for mistercade).

Is anyone having issues with the update all? No games could run because of missing files.

I feel like this is the best place to ask as I can't see anyone has asked this. With the DE10 Nano clone going on sale this week, does anyone know if it's compatible witt the mistercade V2? I am completly new to this butaway some of the ports might have moved?

FYI: This thread is for MiSTercade V1 - there is a separate new thread for MiSTercade V2 here: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/mistercade-v2.31123/

Despite several contact attempts, TakiUdon didn't make samples of his DE10 Nano clone available for testing MiSTercade. TakiUdon announced over the weekend that he is delaying putting them on sale so we can only speculate at the moment, but from the pictures it does look likely that neither MiSTercade V1 or V2 will work with his clone since, as you say, some of the ports have been moved. We'll find out for sure once the clones are available for purchase.

Hi, for input problems with Mistercade on HAS 5.0 supergun is there any solution ?

What input problems are you having specifically?
It is a problem I mentioned before already. If I am using a supergun sigma AV7000, some button don’t react and I need to push 2 or 3 times to have response. Sometimes the punch button make a jump. it is unplayable.
I tried the supergun HAS 5.0 on Mistercade as well. In ghost and goblins the jump button doesn’t work at all but in the test mode from the supergun all the buttons are functional.

With original pcb boards or multis these two superguns are working perfectly.

I friend is also facing similar input problems with Mistercade on its Irem madona cabinet

Thanks

Does the OLED screen on the MiSTercade V2 show the buttons triggering when using the HAS V5.0?

No idea for my issue ?
No idea, the obvious question is does it happen with other boards? Have you tried remapping the controls, both in the core main (before loading a core) and in the core you're playing?

How is that control stick connected, is it via the jamma harness? I only ask as i can't really tell from the video, it doesn't look like jamma but i can't see everything.

@raffy92 you have to share more details on your setup.

For example which supergun do you have ? How are the wires connected. Please share pictures.

Do you have another supergun to test with like a HAS ?

I am posting this problem for years now. But on the video I am using a Mistercade through its jamma on a supergun sigma av7000. On multi cps2, cps1, taitof3, stv and other pcb it works perfectly. I have a HAS 5.0v as well, I have tested the Mistercade on it and one button : button1 didnt work at all. On the input test of the HAS all the buttons was responding normally.
A guy from Mistercade from Mistercade discord was suggesting to change the resistor which are on the line of each button. Those resistors are 10kohm, and he ask me try to change one to a 100 ohm. The idea was that maybe other resistors from supergun plus those from Mistercade attenuating the signal too much. I did it but apparently nothing changed.
