Mk pcb help

What did you plug the wrong way? One of the eproms or the Jamma connector?

If it was the Jamma connectour, you may have blown multiple things on your PCB as they are not usually very protected against that type of error.

Get someone that fixes them for a fee. This is kind of an art, everyone has its tricks and they can do the job. Someone that hasn't done this usually will have a hard time to fix it.

It's surprising that is not booting. Usually it's the controls that blow as when you flip it upside down the power goes to the p1 and p2 button inputs. The 5v is not a problem as those buttons are 5v anyway (active low) but the 12v sent to p1 button1 and p2 button1 will fry.

Trace back from the jamma edge pins top and bottom 6 pins in from the end (that got the 12v accidentially) and look for fried components.

But yes through hole component removal is an absolute nightmare. So easy to pop a trace. Give me smd and hot air any day. Send it off to someone for repair.
