I need a sanity check because I have been at this for so long that I am ready to throw the whole thing away. Everything works except buttons 5, 6 on player 2.
I have a Dynamo HS-5 cab that is wired to play MK1. This same cab is also being used to play Groovy Mame via a PC. So, I got a J-PAC and CPS2-X2 adapter.
1) I detached the JAMMA from MK1 board and plugged the JAMMA to the J-PAC.
2) The wires for kick and ground going from J-PAC to CPS2-X2 adapter.
3) The CPS1 kick harness going from CPS2-X2 adapter to the 6 microswitches. All switches are grounded in a daisy chain.
When I test all the buttons, only the buttons 5 and 6 on player 2 side aren't working. I have checked and verified the pinouts are wired in their correct places and also checked for loose wires. All seems to be good on that front.
The JAMMA harness also seems to have all the wiring to support CPS1/CPS2.
What am I doing wrong or is this not possible to do?
The photos shows the wiring from JAMMA harness to J-PAC and then to CPS1-X1 adapter for the kick harness. The player one side with PURPLE/GREY/WHITE wires work but player two side with ORANGE/GREEN/BLUE has only the ORANGE wire working.
