MK2 conversion to KI2

yep, took me some years to start this at last.

Found an old cab 3 years ago and decided to bring it back to life.
Cab was in very bad shape...with only the monitor still in there
and with all original cables.

I managed to find someone to clean and rework the whole electrics...
because when i TRYED to make it work...it was literaly shooting electric bolts ( i was lucky not to put my house on fire XD)

now it works

but ...later i found the info about MK2 cab turned into KI2...with black paint and all...and yep..
i got a MKII cab ...not a true KI2...i was a bit sad since i already had bought all the KI2 stuff....even found the original control metal plate.

so, yes its more converting a MKII into a KI2
but im happy since i prefer Killer instinct then mortal kombat

and yes the whole controls were made reverse.. and everything is soldered -_-

With cab now working i wanted to focus to bring it back fully.
.....but yeah well.. we had kids and i had to take some time and money for family stuff more important


now is a better time and im back into this

so ! cab is working ! good.
i bought all the decals i needed
ive got 2 CPS2 games i NEEDED...our daughters are named Cammy & Felicia...so i had to get darkstalkers and SSFIIT

And wanted to be able to use Q-Sound... so i installed a extra pair of speaker on top.
for now it works great with a small ampli and all. but i feel the speaker are not flowing with the style of the cab.

so i MADE rareware's logo out of aluminum that i will later paint and fix on the front + side of the speakers.
Speakers are easily removable too.

and next im waiting for a control panel (not backward this time) and will try to make the left and right side correctly...
one of them is in pretty bad shape

well i wanted at least , if it was to be added..to fit together
its looking good for now !

only need to get my control wood panel and get the decals on
and extern look will mostly be done .

this is what next update will surely be about in a couple of weeks (im not yet ready ! still missing a few things)

finally ! i got the control on the right direction + installed the metal plate and all.

yes...i know its having some kind of identity crisis but i was testing some stuff.
like making my own marquees and bezel out of what i find around....and colors pop quite nicely
dont worry i'm still aiming for a killer instinct 2 originally. (i might just change marquees and bezel for specific games on some partys)
