Hello, I was going over my VF3 board to remove the supercap and I noticed this trace that had its "cover" removed and seems to be exposed. The trace seems to still be intact however is there anything I can do to safely cover it to prevent damage? Thanks!

That looks like someone has repaired a broken trace. And you could buy liquid solder mask to cover it if you think something might come nearby and short it. Or just use capton tape or electrical tape.

Sounds good, lets say I put electrical tape and I have to remove it to repair something nearby, is there a chance that it would rip the trace off or is it fairly safe?

Solder should be adhesive enough to not get ripped off due to removing some electrical tape
