I've seen a few threads on the topic but not quite sure the direction I need to take so I'll ask for my own use case.
I have a Gundam analog stick inbound and one of the things I want to do with it is to use it as a banana replacement for Monkey Ball. I don't own a Net City or any other JVS ready cabinet so I don't have a direct input for this device straight into the cab or whatever interface exists at that level. I expect that my path forward requires a Sega IO for analog input, which I do have and it is something that has been mentioned in other threads. Is there a harness available that works with the Gundam stick as-is to interface with the IO board? If not, what parts should I be looking at for the prospect of having to build a harness on my own? Really just trying to understand how to get to the finish line as easily and painlessly as possible for this.
For reference, this is something I saw in another thread about the same topic (can't find the original link at the moment). I want to effectively do the same thing: connect the analog stick to that port on the IO board
Side question: which other analog control games is this stick usable for re: Naomi or other hardware? Meaning is it a good and practical solution for those games from an effective gameplay standpoint, not necessarily that it "works" but barely.
