Mortal Kombat v3.0 Y-Unit (Low Audio Issue)

I have a Mortal Kombat V3.0 Y-Unit board and I'm getting extremely low audio even when turned upto max audio. Can anyone suggest what to look at for correcting this issue?

It could be the capacitors on the sound board that could need some replacements. The caps can cause this issue and since they’re old, they could be leaking. I had a sound board that did the same issue yours is doing. Changing the caps worked for me.

I had a problem with my vol pot itself, I guess it was just old?
I replaced the pot and cable with another purchased from eBay and this fixed my issue/was able to adjust the vol again.
