MVS graphical issues horizontal lines

My samurai shodown has horizontal lines in it, any ideas? My puzzle bobble has one horizontal line also. Both carts cleaned. Moved them to a different slot, issue is still visible.

May not be related, but your Brightness is too high. Checkout Mike's monitor channel, he covers how to adjust properly in most of his videos at the end. Your blacks should be completely black.

I have some games where if the brightness is too high you can see black squares or other shapes in the background. These shapes are obvioulsly supposed to blend into the black background.

Looks muuuch better now, thank you! Gameplay with samurai shodown has much less visible horizontal lines now. Might need a new tube since I can’t bring the brightness down too much to get that nice dark black otherwise I won’t see anything. Lol.

Sometimes bright/contrast issues can be related to the color guns being too high in one color. It can be very subtle. I had a cab where it was too dim if I got the background black, but if I went higher it was slightly reddish. slightly turned down the red cutoff and it was perfect.
