Hi all,
I have been working on an MV4 board with a ADPCM sample sound issue - all other sounds are working fine but the ADPCM samples are heavily garbled/messed up. I have confirmed that this is related to the bottom board, a known working top board has the same issue/top board from this unit works fine on a known working bottom board
I have narrowed the fault down to the ADPCM-B section and have confirmed all traces are connected, I have also pulled the LS245 at F1 and confirmed this is working and I am going to remove the matching LS244 to check this as well, and will then move onto whatever is connected to these on the other side
Has anyone had a similar issue and may be able to suggest where the issue is? I was fairly confident it would be a damaged trace somewhere but so far I have not found anything, I don't believe the YM2610 or YM3016D is at fault because all other sounds are fine
