I got this guy today - filthy but working perfectly

Looks like it has been converted from World Warrior to Hyper Fighting at some time - hyper fighting was hugely popular in my home country (NZ and pretty much every WW was converted to HF at some stage)

Anyway - on the C-board -under all the grime I found this - it's like an autograph.

I'm not sure which way up it's susposed to go - it looks like either "AOM" or "ABM" maybe, or if it's up the other way maybe MQX

There is quite a bit of artistry in it, more than just the normal QC initials that you sometimes see - this is more like a brand or a monogram. The pen that it was written in is very durable too, no smudging from water or alcohol. I havent tried acetone on it yet just in case it is an irreplaceable first edition or something signed by the developers.

Has anyone ever seen something like this before? Any ideas as to what it might be?

WW to HF? I know it's possible with patched ROMs (since HF is using a B21 and WW either B14, B17, B18, etc.) but the usual conversion BITD was CE to HF (3 ROM update).

I have plenty of boards with that kind of signatures in gold characters (Gold Acrylic Paint Marker Pen). I've always assumed it was the vendor's or operator's name.

I think you’re right. The A board is is a “CPS dash” which I think is too new for WW, must have started life as CE.
