I got offered a 357 but no video output and the jvs board isn't included. Should I buy? I assume these are not easy repairs?

Honestly, these things are very finicky, especially the older 357A-B models. Since it uses a PS3 motherboard, the problem it may have is a dead RSX GPU or bad HDMI/AV encoder chip. If you want to take a crack at it and attempt to repair it, go ahead, otherwise I would avoid it
