Hello guys,
Im trying to consoling my Tekken 3, as always i will use only 5v power since 12v is needed for sound AMP.
But on Namco System 12 its will stuck on JVS screen test, loop test.
Checking JVS power connector on board we have only this pins:

1 - 2 - 3
4 - 5 - 6

NC - NC - 5V
GND - GND - GND

So its can be powered with only 5v but need USB JVS connected ?

Bonus question :-)
I got this power supply with 12v and 5v on two separated channel:
So its have 1GND for 12v and 1GND for 5v.
Since on jamma we have only 1 channel so 1GND in common for both 12v and 5v if i use it will short the two power supply channel and it pop ? ?(

Hi! JVS Power connector:)

1 2 3
4 5 6

1= KEY
2= 3.3V
3= 5V
4= GND
5= GND
6= GND
yes but 3.3v pin2 seems not connected on System12
Can anyone with a JVS adapter try a System 12 board with and without a USB pad port?
The question is, can a system 12 boot normal with a JVS power connector and jamma for input or need also USB jvs

If you’re using JVS, nothing from the JAMMA side is used and vise versa, the only thing you’ll get from both is the VGA and RCA video and audio.

You still need to have a JVS I/O connected to the system or else you’ll get a JVS MASTER not found error

In other word, you can’t use Jamma and/or JVS for power at the same time

In any case, a Namco System 12 not connecting in JVS mode and not expanding its video output options is heresy today .😓

It's like playing PlayStation Premiere or Sega Saturn in RCA composite video. :thumbdown:

Thanks that what i think, if i use only 5v i need also jvs I/O
But if i use 5v and 12v i can use RCA audio from JVS
