Hi,

I'm picking up my first non-Sega arcade system from a guy, a Time Crisis 2 Namco System 23 set with metal box.

I've had a look at the TC2 manual and it seems to me that CH1 and CH2 (marked in the wiring diagram picture) represent the audio signals for the system. Is that for connector J6 and is it JST? If so, is it a 2.54mm pitch connection? I could splice Dupont wires to my Model 2/3 audio cable harness to get the sound working on TC2, if that's the case.

I know to wire the JVS I/O, I will need to crimp 4 wires to the EMI board and wire up a female USB breakout board to the EMI. Do those JVS pins go to J3? I actually plan using this with my IONA-US adapter and my Guncon 3; I know I'll have screen flashing but I am looking forward to playing this on an LCD.

(EMI filter board picture is from Automated Services; they are a wonderful company to buy arcade parts from here in USA)

Update: I can confirm J6 is what handles audio signals. Pitch is indeed 2.54mm as I soldered on 4 Dupont male headers to a 4-pin Dupont female header. This plugs to my Sega Model 2A through 3 audio harness.

If you don't have the TE connectors to crimp, you can also plug Dupont connectors into the pins of J3 on the EMI PCB to get the JVS signals.

Support for the Guncon 3 on toyoshima's MP07-IONA-US JVS adapter is very preliminary at the moment, as there are major issues with the Y-axis coordinates during calibration. On a V3 IONA pcb, any firmware after 2.12 breaks TSS I/O support, at least for Player 1. There are certain segments of the game where I just cannot shoot anything at all because there are a lot of bright objects on the screen. So far I've only tested Player 1. Will map Player 2's inputs later to see if there are any improvements.
