Hello again friends! Today I'm bringing you another concept I've wanted to make for a while but just finished up! This is a Remote Board Adapter Plate (RBAP) for use with the Nanao MS9 in a Konami Windy cabinet.

The Konami Windy came with a chassis that is prone to failure, the Toshiba PB6643-1. A common (and much more reliable) replacement option, is using the Nanao MS9-29 in place of it. Inside the Windy control panel compartment, there are posts and a screw hole that line up perfectly with the PB6643-1 chassis remote board. The problem is, they differ slightly from the placement on the Nanao MS9 remote board.

Enter the Windy / Nanao RBAP! I designed this for all of you fellow Windy owners you had to swap a Nanao MS9 to keep it going! This remote board adapter plate fits snugly onto the post mounts inside the Control panel and allow you to safely and securely mount your MS9 remote board.

[astrocity]Fits snug on the original post mounts.
[astrocity]Provides a cover for solder side of board.
[astrocity]Sits flush with PCB and provides sturdy base at 4 integral points.
[astrocity]Allows mount to original screw hole.
[astrocity]Cutout on back for ease of access to ribbon cable to chassis.

I do EVERYTHING myself, from engineering to the final packaging and shipping. Im printing these on Hatchbox True Black and True White PLA. 25% Infill with a Grid and 4x walls for extra structure.

These are available directly through me here in Black or White (send me a DM) or on my Etsy . $15 + shipping

@jcmorrisii Just bought one of these from your Etsy store. Thanks for making this man! It's exactly what I need to put the remote board inside the control panel on my E2. You should consider making a top half for it with holes for the pot knobs that snaps/connects to the bottom half.

I appreciate it man!! I see you ordered the white, Im going to send you a black one as well for free just as a way of saying thanks. Maybe you have a friend who could use it and you can make their day a little brighter by gifting it to them. ^^

Going to get it printed up now barring another power outage here

Oh and as far as a top, I did mess around with a few models but ultimately chose to go "open face sandwich" style since its housed inside the CP. But it would be cool to have that as an option if you were using it on the test bench etc! Maybe Ill go back to the drawing board and finish it up :)

@jcmorrisii That's really cool of you. Thank you.

Yeah, if you make a top half I think it would be worthwhile. I'd certainly buy one. To have it as an option would be cool.

I try to encase/protect any bare pcb that I'd touch while power or signal is running through it. So a top half would be cool. Then I'd print a sticker that would go on top of the case and identify all the pots so you didn't need to look at the board to know what you were adjusting.

Let me know if you make one and I'll be your first customer for it ;)
