Going to slowly gather the pieces to this puzzle. I figured I'd drop a thread here just in case anyone is looking to sell some extra parts they have lying around. I'm looking for:

Naomi motherboard
Capcom io
Net dimm (256 is fine)
Zero pic (thanks for the source code @werejag!)
Power supply, ideally a small footprint (will also be using a HAS supergun w/ happ 110w 15a)
RPi and LCD

done!

I'm following right behind ya! I just picked up a Naomi 1 MB (in a pimpin black shiny case) from Derick2k an I'm planning the same thing! Except I think I might have the Capcom I/O board and RPI already.

I was trying to decide if I really want to get the Adafruit display or just use a PC on my home LAN to push commands VIA web page to the Pi.

Somebody with some experience here... is it better to Pi, PC via LAN, or CF? I don't fully understand the pros/cons with these either.

i havnt decided on what to do about the interface, but i decided to go with a silent atx pc power supply and build all my own cables. I ordered all the connectors to build the harnesses. Im looking into a bracket that will allow me.to mount the PSU on its side.

sounds like fun. I dig silent... do you have any links handy? Maybe I'll do the same, a lot of these origional PSU's look really beat up.

OK for the Naomi Power harness connectors as near as I can tell these are them..
8 Connector - https://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=225082712&uq=636275089354988568
6 Connector - https://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=225082806&uq=636275089354988568

The tricky part is the crimp connector socket pin .. I'm not 100% but I think it's..

Then for the connection to the ATX power supply http://www.ebay.com/itm/162435116528?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

For the ATX power supply I was looking at something in the 400-500 watt range https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139147

Then I was thinking of using a mount like this .. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:867934 .. if I could find someone who can 3D print for a reasonable price.

But this is all stuff I am kicking around.

Well, damn .. that makes it easier. I kinda just went with the 24 pin I saw because most PSUs I saw were 24 or 20+4.
