Hi, i`m new to NAOMI and i got one with Marvel vs capcom 2. Well, i see the welcome screen sooooo slow and then i see 3 sequenced dot, like it is about to start the game. Well, i`ve been adjusting the psu high to low and then i just saw the game title once, something blurred though. Do u know what it would be? Besides, inside was dirty as hell, but i`ve cleaned it.

also, when i measure the voltages, the maximum i get from the 3.3v pin is 3.13, although the other voltages get higher when i adjust the PSU.

What cab and psu you got?
On my New Net City I can adjust the 3.3V and 5V individually from each other with 2 different pots

i`m using no cabinet, just some psu and jamma cable^^. I`m, i`ve got to a maximum of 5.25v and 12,8 volts and still was 3.14 to 3.15 v. I should change the PSU? Well, when i start without the game, it says ``error, this game is not acceptable...``. When i start the game, no image.

You will need a PSU that can provide the proper 3.3 however you go at it.

Do not take 5v over 5.15... Once you get above 5.2 you can potentially damage some chips in the NAOMI.

ok, i`ll try it when i buy a new one. What do u recomend? I use a chinese one...maybe i can buy a good one for now, but i`ll have to wait, wait, wait until it arrives. But indeed it`s a power issue? It`s the only different thing i saw in the whole pcb. Well, some videos show the welcome image way faster than mine.

It's almost certainly a power issue, low 3.3 causes the NAOMI to crash, reset, etc. Generally a Sun naomi PSU is recommended, or possibly an atx with adapter (I prefer sun psu as both 5 and 3.3 are adjustable.)

Aren't ATX PSU's self-regulated hence no need for pots? I could be wrong. Anyway, they're a hell of a lot easier to find and cheaper than OE PSUs. Adapters are great but if you don't have one you can just hack the wires to make it work.

I use ATX PSUs but different pcbs draw different amounts and I have a few Naomis that will not boot with ATX PSUs at all and I have never once successfully used a ATX to power my Chihiro or Triforce reliably. When I check voltages I find the 5V or 3V very low with no way to adjust them. If you are going to go the ATX route I would recommend paying the extra cash for one that has adjustable voltages even though they are hella expensive. Probably better off buying and recapping some Sun Power Supplies instead.

If someone has a normal ATX supply that boots everything all the time please let us know the brand and model.

Mitsu is right. I use an ATX power supply with my supergun and it is really no replacement for an arcade PSU. Anything that is picky with voltage will not boot and there's no easy way to adjust it.

I can't speak about naomi, but I run my chihiro test setup on a AOPEN AO300-12APNF 300W ATX supply.
If I remember well, there are some adjustments for the 3V3 and 5V on the pcb in the supply.

Good modern ATX supplies have sense wires on the 3V3 output.
They measure the voltage at the connector and automatically adjust it to get a steady 3V3 there.

It's not all about voltage.
Used atx supplies can have a higher ripple on their output voltages due to drying out electrolytic capacitors.
Such ripple can also cause boot problems and freezing issues. If you measure the voltages, they will be fine.
You need a scope on AC to measure the ripple on a supply rail.
