Hello,
I purchased Wave Runners GP dirt cheap $30:) I am trying to play the game on my Jamma setup using a Capcom I/O board but the controllers do not work.. is there a way to play Wave Runners GP without the actual Wave Runner GP cab? hopefully on my Jamma cab:).. thanks for reading and for the feedback.

It proabably uses analog controls. Should work with my S-JIHP and some sort of modified controls. Could maybe use a joystick.

this game uses typical for racing games input layout: 1st analogue input - handle, 2nd - throttle
there is also roll/pitch inputs, but it seems not really needed.

nice price for this uncommon game,
can you show ROM TEST screen shot of it ?

It's definitely analog.
I netbooted that game onto my Initial D cab. Was damn hilarious to play.
The break was the throttle, and I had to turn the wheel all the way in either direction to get it to turn (probably uses a different gear ratio on the pot).
Best for drunk gaming.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for..

I was asking for BIOS System Menu - ROM BOARD TEST (there is all rom board check sums will be printed)
but thanks anyway :)

you are right - throttle here is inverted compared to rest of Naomi racing games, but wheel/handle is the same, so its strange to hear you had some problems with it.

The steering control is the same? I had assumed the steering wheel gear connecting to the pot inside my ID cab was much larger than whatever is used in the Waverunner game, resulting in turns not registering until I turned the wheel almost to its limit. I figured the steering on the waverunner has much less travel.
Regardless, I pop that game on the ID cab anytime people are over having a few beers. Can get em to fall off the seat trying to steer.

I was mean ID and WR wheel/handle works in same direction, limits doesn't really matters because it can be calibrated in WR game testmode.

Ah now I get it. Didn't realize I could tighten the steering calibration for this game in test, I'm dumb...
Thanks.
