Its true. It was kind of a hassel. The mounting brackets are different but
@theoddtech is 3D printing spacing and mount adapters. I just used twist ties currently.
You have to tie the Shield grounds on the back of the monitor and attenuate RGBs. I use a Jassifier for this and is still open source and easy to obtain. Then you have to lead your RBBSGr into a VGA or SCART for your OSSC input. They make a screw terminal for D-sub 15 so anyone with a wire stripper can do this but I decided to solder and shrink mine to a Scart male tail instead.
I recommend the OSSC because A-1 only goes to VGA resolution. And you get sharper pixels with more scanline definition using the higher integers. Mine was 1600x1200. After attenuating it really popped. Im looking forward to playing letterboxed Street fighter 6 on a postcard through the Jammaizer.
Now 2 out of 3 cabs are using VGA+ to OSSC. the OG Yellow pictured has it's original 18" Nanao from
@Solmin
If you use 19-21" PC crt, this would make a fantastic cabinet.
Has anyone successfully used a size bigger than 19"? I would love to maximize the space.
The PC monitors are have their mounts a few inches back compared to the Arcade tubes. Once I get the proto spacers from
@theoddtech I'm sure I can figure how to ditch the twist ties and use the Tate function.
