Hi, I have a net dimm setup on my cab, one day a couple months back my ram went bad inside my net dimm. it was a brand new stick I got off ebay and was one of the listed compatible versions I saw listed on this forum post.

I bought a new one and haven't been having problems but I've also been very warey of switching games while the system is running a different one. I was wondering if someone with a netboot setup knows anything about ram. am I being paranoid or should is it safe for me to switch games on the dimm board.

SDRAM has effectively infinite write cycles and tends to be a very infrequent failure. It's also a very standard off the shelf part that quite literally millions if not tens of millions of stock have been made. Any failures you experience are unlikely and typically a result of another component on the RAM stick failing. I would not worry about wearing out the memory. It is unlikely to wear out in your lifetime. Not to mention once your battery pack dies off your RAM will lose the contents being stored anyway.
