New Astro City Marquee GLUED??

I'm about to strip my cab down for paint, but this "NEW ASTRO CITY" marquee seems to be glued/epoxied in. Is this how they came? (I assume no bc the screw holes). Any tips on how to break it free without breaking this section of the cab?

Sega used doublesided adhesive strips, probably equivalent to 3M's VHB strips. I got mine out using WD40, a plastic prying tool and alot of patience.

I just took mine out recently because my marquee looks really sunfaded so I plan to get a repro from @alberto1225

It looks like someone already painted yours, so who knows how they stuck it back in. It should have bolts, as well as adhesive, when it's stock.

yeah definitely its been painted before. (very poorly ). I guess I'll find out soon how they did it, if its not still the stock adhesive.
