Hey guys, I have a new astro city cab that I was looking to update the speaker system on. Plan on putting a 2.1 system in there as the original speakers sound just too weak. I've seen other people do a number of things to upgrade the sound in these cabs.

In prepping for this I came up with a questions and was hoping someone could explain the point of the volume\amp in the power supply in these cabs. I don't have a stereo amp in my machine its the regular mono with a 400-5261Z PSU in it. This is my first import cab so forgive my lack of knowledge here. To my knowledge all Jamma boards have their own sound amp and volume control. So is this an amp on top of another amp type of thing or is the volume knob on the PSU simply adjusting the volume of the input it's getting from the Jamma board? If that's the case is it recommended to put the volume on the jamma board all the way up (or at least almost all the way? Is that working that jamma board amp too hard?)

Also, if I put in the 2.1 setup (will be using PC Speakers and replacing the speakers in the Astro City speaker housing) I planned on putting a line leveler in between the audio output of the Jamma to the speakers then to the amp of the 2.1 speakers which should work. With the leveler in place should the volume on the board ALSO be turned all the way up or? By all means let me know if you had any other recommendations please let me know and thanks for any info.
