Hello everybody,

I'm new to arcade and happy to find a place like this.

Actually i've got a friend who have a guitar hero arcade but the screen broke.
He bought a regular monitor and tought it will work.
He called me to see if i can fix it and after a lot of research.

So here the situation :

it's a raw thrills cabinet
He bought a ProLite XB3270QS-B1 - iiyama Monitor but when he power on the computer :
The pc start, then we got the splash and the message on corner top left, it detects the guitar but then the message says this monitor is not supported.

Then he called me. So i understood that its only an onboard Windows xp on board preconfiguration with the game and the documentation is very low.
IMO, buying a regular monitor screen was a bad idea but if somebody have a fix instead of rebuying an arcade monitor, it will be great !

Thanks a lot,

How did the original screen break exactly? If it's not turning on, you could possibly get it working again if you recap the power supply. The power supply is a separate board in an compartment at the back of the monitor.

Anyway, you could try reinstalling the game on a new hard drive. Later versions of the game have support for a wider range of hardware.
