Hi guys.
I have recently refurbished and fixed up a Nintendo space fever cabinet. It worked fine for a long time, but the other day it died.
I was heartbroken for days, still am actually.
The game gives of the startup sound when i boot the game, but the screen gives a bunch of horisontal clorful lines.
So after troubleshooting and looking at the board where the manual tells me, i found this 74LS138PC chip that is looking way different than the rest of the chips. Looks heated and discolored.
I am wondering if the power supply was running a little rich and overheated it???
It runs lines to the eproms that the manual says to check.
Would you guys think this is the problem?
I have ordered a logic probe to try to check it.
Would you guys try to change it? I cant see anything else that looks off, nothing like this.
