I know this is dumb, but I do not have a way to hook the boards up to video at the moment. I am waiting on a monitor in the mail. Just looking for ways I could troubleshoot this issue without video.

I ordered a cps2 motherboard and a Vampire Savior 2 board. I connected the boards to the +5, +12, & Ground on the power supply and when I plug it in, the fan starts up. I connected the motherboard to speakers, but I am not getting any audio. I dont have a monitor or a way to hook the boards up to a tv, so I can't even verify that the game is even booting yet. Was hoping the audio would let me know it was working, but no luck. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Here is what I have already tried:

- Pressing Volume Up
- holding volume up when I plug it in to reset the volume
- putting it through an amp before speakers

probly cuz the option for attract sound is off. dont sweat it, and test it out once u get ur monitor. if u still cant figure it out, come back and we will help. if u get it working, still write back cuz whoever reads this is gonna want the closure.

Every time I plug in a new B-board on my CPS2 the settings reset, this includes the attract mode. For some games, the default is set to off. As others have said, coin-op and push start and then see if you get sound. I was wondering the same thing myself when the sound went away the first time I switched from Super X to Vampire Hunter and then back again. Coined op, pressed start, character select music started going.
