Grand Master
This is in a windy 2 given to me by a friend, the cab was non working I believe maybe a part of that big buy a few years ago. I cleaned it up as best as I could and tried turning it on and got a thin blue line down the middle vertical collapse. I went a head took the chassis out, it had a lot of leaked electrolytic fluid around the vertical area. I went ahead simple green and dried it over a few days in the sun, cleaned up I went recapped and got rid of all the corrosion. When I tried it again to my surprise I got full deflection blue picture with no image, didn't last long before the HOT gave up the ghost though and it stopped coming on. I went ahead got a replacement flyback, a few hots from ebay, and a new transformer. Once I went ahead and replaced that stuff the hot blew again, I tried again thinking maybe it was a fake and this time the monitor stood on. Only issue I have now is I cannot get full range of colors, I already manipulated both the neck board cutoffs and the gain in the remote board. I am suspecting that the problem is in the RGB amp chip on the neckboard, I also went ahead and reinstalled the old flyback because I had an inkling that it was not bad at all. My hunch was right the old flyback still works, yet the colors look the same so I still believe that M52327SP on the neckboard is bad. I went ahead and ordered some and will report back once it gets here and I install it, fingers crossed.
