How much is a Trio the Punch board going for these days? I forgot I had this wacky game. Might decide to sell/trade it.

Last one I saw was 6 months back at $325. I think before that the last I saw was $400?

Thanks.

I forgot what I got this for. I wasnt keeping track of what I was spending on PCBs until recently. :)

Yup, actually I was trying to buy it to trade for a NS believe it or not...

WTF is going on with boards now? I'm starting to buy a bunch and the prices are crazy. I got that ESPGaluda b/c I took a trip to Japan, played it and loved it, never thinking about it. I paid I think $700 and now it's going for $900? Seriously, what's going on?

Supply and Demand or something like that. I think its a mixture of things. But yeah, I think the more common readily available Cave boards are gonna start averaging out at around $900-1K easy enough. You might get lucky here or there on yaj and get a board around $600-700. But most sellers on forums are gonna be around the $750-1K range.

In our area stuff used to be dirt cheap until all of the barcades started popping up with deep pockets to snag whatever they wanted. I am hoping that soon they will have what they need and prices will come back down to what they used to be or if people who have been going to them and feel nostalgic and keep paying insane prices causing them to keep going up.

I tried to snag one recently and I stopped bidding at $500.
Bidding wars can definitely get things up into the realm of "stupid" real quick.

There are a hundred boards I want before TtP, but I'd still probably consider it at $500. Not a good price, but also not wholly unreasonable considering the current market and how infrequently it comes up.

Why not converting an Act Fancer board?
I mean for those who really want to play the game on OG hardware.
Is the conversion process easy? I'm into that idea! Would like to play the game, but not paying dumb prices for a novelty!

This was to trade DJSheep... but no way I wanted to PAY $500 for it... if you're willing to pay that, sounds like Derick is your man!

It's in the same driver in MAME but after a quick look it seems memory map is different.

too many johnny come latelys with too much money is what makes stuff go up. It isn't just the barcade people.

Oh, it's absolutely a thirsty pricepoint. Like "I need TtP and I need it TODAY". But at the same time I wouldn't blink at hearing one sold for it, y'know?

And a lot of people that don't know what it means to be patient.

Impatient buyer: "I need TMNT: TiT TODAY"

Guy who doesn't really want to sell, but knows everything has a price: "idk man, I have one, but it'd take like $500 for me to want to sell it."

Impatient buyer: "SOLD".

And suddenly TiT is a $500 game. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
