I had a car crash last monday, so I need to fund a new one :(
PCB is in perfect condition, never had any issues with it.

Asking € 300,- located in the Netherlands. Worldwide shipping (insured + tracking) is no problem.

I've got like 20 of the boards you listed , I work for an old coin operated business, he just pulled about 8 locations that had arcade games , most were old and still working ... I'm willing to sell the lot cheap , but you will have to pay shipping .... message me back and I'll get a list together ...

Figured I'd set it to rest one way or the other. Messaged david.countryman to see if he's this guy. Seemed easiest. And got the answer we all expected, they're not affiliated in any way.

His home also used to be in Woonsocket RI and believe that's still where Keith Apicary "lives"; though I believe he lives in CA now.

if you ever go to Funspot they have the Neo-Geo cab from the video with a framed picture of Keith Apicary on the wall next to it plus an LCD above it that plays the video on repeat. I believe it was donated by him before he made the move to the west coast.
 
Bumping this in general, but would *really* like to snag Valkyrie no Densetsu.

Open to other things on my list though for sure!

What I know is they stripped some elements from the JAP version, some stuff about timer vs. life counter or so.


This is what I found on a Dutch forum;

USA: a timer that count till 0 ...0 = game over. Can be extended with life items.
Japan: just a regular lifebar like it should.

USA: Arena stage is a Boss Rush (2 bosses simultaneously) followed by a normal boss
Japan: no Boss Rush...just the normal boss.

USA: during credit no funny pictures of the creators.
Japan: during credit funny pictures of the creators.

+ the Japan version is much more difficult to find....

BTW, the dude in the Dutch forum bought a JAP version for around 68,000Y on YAJ, so that must be the going rate :S
 
You can just burn two eproms to make it Japan version. It's definitely worth doing as the timer is bullshit.

Also, that board will have to be recapped.
 
Did a bit more looking around, and the last (and only) one to sell on eBay went for all of 275USD a couple months back. Maybe impatience for another to turn up caused the $600+ one?

Actually, I can't even find the 68,000JPY one in past auctions.

The only sale I see on YAJ in the past several months was 24,000JPY for a board with sprite issues.
