Pi Force Tools with .dat files

i have noticed that my pi force tools netbooter does not see .dat files , is there something i can change to make this work on .DAT ?

change the file extension to .bin - not sure what version you have as there are a lot out there - do you know how to change the game list?

yeah i tried that and it worked for slashout , but nothing else , no dont know how to change game list, its a new thing to me the pi force , its version 1.5

am using a Raspberry pi 1 Rev 2 Model B with pi force tools 1.5

Oh wow, that's ancient! If you're using standard piforcetools you can check this list and rename the rom file to match, it needs to be case sensitive: https://github.com/travistyoj/piforcetools/blob/master/gamelist.py

The other option if you are adding a game is to edit that gamelist.py file

Yeah functionally there isn't a difference in the files, so changing the extension ought to work if the file is valid. My super old netboot script (never released) allowed any .bin or .dat to show in the list.
