Hey everybody, Idk if TomyArcade has an account here, but I know another user has purchased a cab from them before. From what I remember, it was your typical Chinese-refurb; but that's besides the point.
As some of you may know I got burned by Yaton, along with a few others, and so I was hesitant to use another Chinese seller. I needed to find an Astro City door (so I thought) and figured if I lose a smaller amount of money that I won't be all that sad because finding a door locally was a bit difficult. I reached out to TomyArcade on FB and got transferred to someone to help process the order. They had a door and, frankly, it was in super rough shape. They were asking $75 and $75 shipping. I decided to just go for it and then I can worry about getting a nicer door later or just see how it turns out after some paint.
I then found out a day later that I no longer needed the door! Though unfortunately my payment had already gone through with TomyArcade (they use Wise to accept payments). I explained the situation that I didn't need the door and the woman that was helping me was awesome. She worked for like 3 or 4 days trying to find ways to refund me my money. We were finally able to get it figured out using PayPal invoices (she paid with a visa). I was so impressed that I just had to leave this feedback here. Whenever I messaged them, they were responsive (according to their time-zone) and one of the messages I got was "don't worry, I will find a solution."
Honestly, I'm super impressed. That was a polar opposite to my Yaton experience. I thought I'd share. I will say it's still always smart to do your due diligence when it comes to large purchases. I don't think I'll be doing any more over-seas cab purchases. These guys seem ok for parts.
