Hi all, so I’m in the process of converting an animal kaiser cabinet to jamma and I wanted a an easy way to convert the video signal for use with the installed lcd panel.
I’ve settled on using an Irken labs scaler rather than replacing the monitor as I have a spare one to hand, my question is if there is an easy way to power this via jamma.
I’ll be installing a meanwell PSU which will throw out all the necessary voltages for jamma but will the +5 destroy the scaler?
Thanks in advance

Pinging @invzim .

The scaler is normally powered by MicroUSB, so my assumption is that you could wire +5V to Pin 1 and GND to Pin 5 of a MicroUSB connector and be good to go.

Yup, should work fine. You can get male breakout boards for micro usb to make things easier.
There is also a 'hidden' solution - on the PCB you can solder a connector for power, I don't have the schematics here but I think it's jst-xh.
