Hi, I purchased this board a while back, appears to be an original, works great with the exception of the audio. All I get is a steady hum when I turn up the volume on the PCB -- no other sound whatsoever.
Yamaha YMF278B wayyyy at the back of the board is receiving a steady 5V. The crystal nearby seems a bit rusty and there's a small mess of flux around it. There's a Yamaha YAC513-M near the JAMMA blade.
Any suggestions on how best to approach troubleshooting this issue? I have minimal tools (soldering supplies, basic multimeter), but do plan to build out a basic PCB repair workbench in the near future, so tool recommendations are appreciated as well.
Pics below. Thanks.
