Question about C board on SF2CE/SF2HF

Hi,

By default SF2 games doesn't keep the high scores after powering off the game. I've noticed the C boards have a battery slot (I know, for suicidal tendencies' games) so, I was wondering if anybody has tried to install a battery there and see if the game keeps the highscores?

AFAIK the C board battery is there to hold the encryption keys and nothing else.
